CHENAULTE’ COMPETITIVE DANCE TEAMS C.A.S.T
ROSEBUD TINYS TEAM: This is a non-audition dance program. Students who can handle program requirements age 3 years old through 1st grade depending on readiness are eligible for this group. This group will only be available if there are (6) or more participants.
PRIMARY TEAM: This is a non-audition competitive dance team. Students must be grades 1st-3rd. This team will only be available if there are six (6) or more participants.
ELEMENTARY TEAM: This is an audition only competitive dance team. Students must be in grades 4th-6th.
JUNIOR TEAM: This is an audition only competitive dance team. Students must be in grades 7th-9th.
SENIOR TEAM: This is an audition only competitive dance team. Student must be in grades 9th-12th.
OFFICER/ELITE TEAM: These are audition only competitive teams. Officer teams are represented in competition in alternating competition seasons;
ELITE teams are formed at the coaching staff’s discretion. Students will compete among their peers to participate on each team. The maximum number of officers is determined by a percentage of competing team members.
NOTE: The Director/Staff has the discretion to invite students that display a higher level of dance experience to audition for a division outside of their age category. All competition teams, categories and size divisions, costumes, music, props and show design will be solely the responsibility of the coaching staff and director.
Team requirements and expectations
Chenaulte Dancers Competition Dance Team members are required to commit to the full competition season that begins with pre-season summer camp and ends with the end of the year community review. As members of the Chenaulte family, there are many exciting activities during the season. These activities include, but are not limited to:
• Community performances
• Dance competitions
• Dance pageants
• Spring Review
• Team outings
• National performances
• Dance camps
• Team building events
• Awards banquet
• Winter Preview (depending on C.A.S.T readiness)
CHENAULTE DANCERS ARE EXPECTED TO:

Audition and be selected to participate as a team member

Financial commitment defined as paying competitive team dance fees and associated cost including class fees

Attend scheduled practices and meetings

Participate in all scheduled competitions and associated activities including any out of town travel
